Consignment versus Thrift...
Consignment. One little word conjures up very specific ideas.
Bridal Consignment. These two words DEFINATELY conjure up specific ideas. Some not so accurate...
When first opening, we weren't sure how Greenville brides would feel about buying a gown at a consignment store. So we set out to create an intimate, upscale boutique that feels like a quaint, traditional bridal store.
Some brides have almost sneered when asking if our dresses are "used". As if this is a store full of old, dirty, out of date dresses that haven't been taken care of, and have been >OH MY< worn once before. Actually sneered!
Some brides have walked up to the door, read "Bridal Consignment Boutique" and literally turned around to get back in the car and drive away. Why don't you stop in and take a look? You will be pleasantly surprised!
Many don't realize that consignment is not the same thing as THRIFT. We do not take in just any old dress. We have rules, cleaning requirements, & age restrictions. Gowns are not dropped off in trash bags. While thrift stores are great means of funding for local charities, consignment stores function differently.
Not all of our gowns have been worn before. We have a great selection of couture and designer sample gowns that come from various bridal stores. None of these gowns have been worn or altered. So, if you are willing to buy off the rack at a bridal store's sample sale, then stop in here too! We have amazing designer sample gowns that are ALWAYS marked down.
